Stupid Chinese MMO Publishers
Recently in linkedin.com, I got a lot of spamming PMs, regarding to online advertising. Before the year 2009, everything in linkedin is smoothly OK. Starting from the end of 2009, these companies are just trying their best to knock my door and try to sell their advertising placements to us. And I can tell that there are almost over 10 media companies founded during a year! Amazing um?
More and more Chinese MMO Publishers entered the USA/EU market in the year 2009. Evony brought the most ugly method in online advertising, while other companies acted like a headless flies, flying around. We can’t say they don’t have a direction, but most of the time, their direction is wrong.
I think in 2010, the best business model is to run up a media company and collect money from Chinese MMO publishers. Due to the unfair protecting exchange rate, Chinese companies are the most wealthy companies in the world. SNDA has aquired Monchi Ads, more and more Chinese companies stepped out and bought a lot of global companies out there. What’s the next? How about facebook.com? How about twitter? And how about EA?
As always, stupid Chinese government is working hard to raise tax and to suck blood from gaming industry. Stupid policies such as ‘10 million funds is requred for a game publisher’ are coming out from time to time. So we can figure out that more and more companies have to move their market out of China and join this battle.
Who will win? Who will fail? And who will dominate this market?
Don’t be panic guys. As you may know making conterfeits is the expertise for Chinese companies. So sticking to your ideal and bring an outstanding game is your responsibility. Creativity can’t be copied, that is why the Chinese can always be a good follower but never a leader or a creator in creativity industry.
哎,无奈~
用英文鄙视你下:
It takes time for CHN MMO developers or publishers to know, blend into and change the western market. All their behaviors now are just trying out. The results and truth will tell them what’s the best way for them to get into this new market finally.
Just like many western IT companies’ failures in CHN, those mmo developers and publishers will face simiar things in the coming future too. But so far, it seems that companies like perfectworld have already get used to the new market, although those poor western mmo publishers are a little pissed off to see perfectworld’s ads everywhere.
Anyway, I’ll never use “stupid” to describ these companies, you stupid.
One last thing is everytime I got a message from my linkedin network to ask for help such as finding a mmo translation company in CHN, I would do my best to give those westerns some useful information. I’ve never thought of those messages as spams. You should know, that is why linkedin is useful. If you think those are spams, you should stop using it. Btw, shame on you for not helping those CHN companies…
